June 19, 2020 - Leonardo DRS CEO, Bill Lynn has announced a COVID-19 relief fundraising campaign to support the American Red Cross in their efforts to help individuals, families and communities suffering as a result of the pandemic.
“As a company that has been allowed to remain open during this difficult time, we want to ensure we are doing our part to help those who have been touched by this public health crisis in some way,” Leonardo DRS CEO, Bill Lynn said.
The company has established an initiative to help support the American Red Cross and will be providing a dollar for dollar company match of employee charitable donations made in support of COVID-19 relief efforts.
Leonardo DRS chose the American Red Cross because of its wide reach to communities across the country and the specific work they are doing to offer support and relief to Americans during this pandemic.
The American Red Cross is helping in many ways including, supporting quarantine shelters with relief items, such as cots, blankets and hygiene kits; distributing food in areas under government-ordered quarantines or mandatory stay-at-home orders; connecting families letting families know when loved ones are transferred from smaller rural hospitals to larger urban ones, and providing health and mental health services during this difficult time.
Donating is easy. Simply visit the joint Leonardo DRS/American Red Cross donation website and choose the amount you would like donate and to what specific programs you would like your money to go towards.
