Leonardo DRS Wins Contract Worth Up to $255 Million to Provide the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command with Global SATCOM

ARLINGTON, VA, SEPTEMBER 30, 2020  ̶  Leonardo DRS, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) worth up to $255 million by the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, to provide the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) with satellite communications and support for its headquarters, components and major subordinate units operating in the region.

The award was announced by the Department of Defense on July 7, 2020.

Under the agreement, Department of Defense requirements include providing mission partners with a means of rapidly acquiring commercial satellite bandwidth to meet enduring and emerging communications needs. 

Leonardo DRS will provide host nation agreements and frequency clearances as needed to enable access to regional services.  Additionally, Leonardo DRS will provide custom-engineered, regional commercial satellite communications (COMSATCOM) solutions, designed to meet the combatant command’s COMSATCOM needs.
