Benefits That Focus on You
Health coverage for you and your family is important to you and it’s important to us. The Leonardo DRS benefits program is designed to offer choice, peace of mind and allows you to select the plans that best meet you and your family’s needs.
In most cases, as long as you regularly work at least 30 hours a week, you can elect coverage for yourself and your eligible dependents, including your spouse, domestic partner and your eligible children. Most benefits are effective the first day of the month following your start date.
Our comprehensive medical benefits help employees and their families maintain and improve their health with preventive care, prescription drug coverage and broad health care provider networks. Employees may choose a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan or a qualifying High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). The HDHP option offers access to a Health Savings Account (HSA), including HSA contributions from Leonardo DRS each pay period. Both medical plans use a UnitedHealthcare network.
Enrollees in a Leonardo DRS medical plan have access to telemedicine – a quick and convenient option for health care in a virtual setting by phone or video, eliminating travel and the wait time in a doctor’s office.
Our Dental plan provides full coverage for preventive care, and comprehensive coverage for basic and major restorative services, and orthodontics. Employees have the flexibility to receive care from in-network or out-of-network providers. The dental plan uses a Delta Dental network.
Leonardo DRS offers the EyeMed vision plan, which covers a range of vision care services, including regular eye exams, glasses and contact lenses.
Pre-tax Spending Accounts
These accounts allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars through payroll deductions to pay for eligible expenses — while lowering their taxable incomes. We offer a health care flexible spending account (FSA) and, for enrollees in the High Deductible Health Plan, a health savings account (HSA).* Leonardo DRS makes employer contributions to an HSA on an employee’s behalf. A dependent day care FSA is also available.
*A limited purpose FSA (for eligible dental and vision expenses) is available if you enroll in the HSA.
Leonardo DRS provides company-paid life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, and short-term and long-term disability coverage – all at no cost to you. Supplemental coverage is also available for purchase if employees want additional financial security for themselves and/or their family members.
Leonardo DRS partners with our employees to help prepare for retirement by offering a competitive 401(k) plan. Employees can participate within a month of their date of hire. The 401(k) plan includes an attractive company match with immediate vesting, and is an excellent way to save money for retirement, either on a pre-tax basis through traditional contributions, which accumulate tax-deferred, or through after-tax contributions to a Roth 401(k).
You can’t predict your future, but you can plan for it. Leonardo DRS offers legal insurance, a benefit you can use to plan for it all – the expected and unexpected times in your life. When you work with a network attorney, attorney fees are 100% paid-in-full for most covered matters.
Student Loan Repayment Assistance: myEDBENEFITS
myEDBENEFITS is designed to help employees pay down their student loan debt and reduce interest by getting extra payments toward eligible student loans.
We foster an environment where our employees and their families focus on physical, emotional and financial wellbeing by offering a variety of wellness resources. If you enroll in one of the Leonardo DRS medical plans, you can take advantage of specialty condition support programs such as Livongo, which offers support for diabetes, hypertension and weight management. Employees also have access to cancer and infertility support programs.
Our network of Wellness Champions support our employees by promoting company-wide and local wellness activities. These may include fitness challenges to improve physical activity levels and educational opportunities to improve your awareness and management of physical, emotional and financial wellness.
