The Helicopter Starter is intended for use on board combat ships. Using ship's 440V, 60 Hz, 3-phase AC power conforming to Type 1 of MIL-STD-1399, Section 300, the  Helicopter Starter provides 28 VDC output power adjustable from 26V to 32V with a continuous current rating of 300A.  The unit is capable of providing up to 1000A short term high starting currents.

On ship's power, the unit also functions as a power conditioner/DC rectifier by blocking surges, spikes and transients while maintaining stable voltage to the served equipment within specifications to assure their continued proper operation.

Multiple units can be connected in parallel to increase overall output power.
