Stephen “Steve” Vather is the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development (M&A) and Investor Relations at Leonardo DRS. In this capacity, he leads the company’s merger and acquisition activities (M&A) and the investor relations function. Steve joined the company in 2022 to lead investor relations as it returned to the public markets.
Over the course of his career, he has managed the execution of more than 25 M&A, debt financing, and equity capital markets transactions totaling more than $8 billion. He spent nine years at ManTech International, where he spearheaded corporate development and investor relations efforts, including jointly leading its take‑private transaction by Carlyle. Before ManTech, he was a corporate development and strategy associate at Mercury Systems. Steve began his career in investment banking at Sagent Advisors, advising aerospace, defense, and government services clients.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and management from Georgetown University.
