The next generation of EO/IR sensors, targeting systems, and optics must improve infantry combat effectiveness while reducing carry loads and improving SWaP. For example, the Joint Effects Targeting System is the first handheld device to use north-finding technology to provide forward observers with more accuracy for precision munitions in all conditions like pitch-dark, fog, dust, smoke, and adverse weather conditions.

And the Family of Weapon Sights-Individual wirelessly transmits the weapons crosshair and thermal image to the user’s goggles, enabling them to detect, recognize, and engage targets accurately without having to put an eye on their scope.
