Tenum Orbit

Tenum® 640 Orbit is an advanced uncooled LWIR camera module engineered for unmanned air, ground, and maritime platforms. Built as an OEM module with a SWaP-C optimized thermal imaging core, it delivers shutterless, low-power, high-performance capability in an ultra-compact 16.4 cc package weighing just 28 grams.

Designed to improve tactical decision-making, it provides persistent high frame-rate thermal imagery for detection, tracking, navigation, and collision/obstacle avoidance in day/night and degraded-visibility environments. As a cost-optimized ISR payload backed by proven Tenum detectors and DRS engineering, it streamlines integration with MIPI CSI/CCS, configurable video outputs, and MOSA/SOSA-aligned design to reduce time to market and unit cost.

  • MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface) Native: Industry-standard MIPI (or optional USB 2.0) supporting CSI and CCS for true plug-and-play with any MIPI-compliant image processor – simplifies integration on OEM platforms and unmanned systems.
  • Flexible Video Outputs: User-selectable 14-bit or 8-bit white/black-hot formats; fixed 640×512 at 60 Hz or externally controlled frame-rates up to 60 Hz; digital zoom available.
  • Shutterless, Continuous Operation: Quiet, uninterrupted video with on-the-fly non-uniformity correction for mission-long image stability and reduced maintenance risk by removing moving parts.
  • Exceptional Sensitivity and Efficiency: Industry-leading 10 μm pixel pitch technology enabling ultra-low sensitivity (<20 mK at room temp) and nominal power consumption around 1.2 W (nominal) – optimized for prolonged missions.
