For all-domain operations, Leonardo DRS is presently supporting the Army with prototype and production systems that can operate at multiple security levels within one sensor. In many cases these sensors are also designed with ultra-low-SWaP technologies. These are in a variety of configurations, including a Manpack configuration, tethered-drone configuration, and even an untethered-drone sensor. BlackLab was developed using open architecture interfaces compliant with the Army’s C4ISR/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), which provides for modular open systems architecture (which itself is known as MOSA). CMOSS standards are managed under the Sensor Open Systems Architecture Consortium, which includes participation from the three services, academia, and industry—including Leonardo DRS.
MFoCS II is the most advanced evolution of mounted computing. Cyber secure and available today for international customers. The Leonardo DRS Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Portal is a web-based NetOps capability that provides a consolidated and transparent view of key information within a managed end-to-end ICT ecosystem so the customer can see in near real-time how their network is performing. The ICT Portal is something that Leonardo DRS offers all its customers and can customize to needs of each customer. The ICT Portal can include views into the trouble ticket status, network status down to the end-user device, performance metrics, status of projects or upgrades. It can also provide visibility into cost accounting, to ensure a program is operating within budget. The ICT Portal is technology agnostic and secured to DoD and customer cybersecurity standards. The Leonardo DRS ICT Portal places precise performance analytics and actionable data in the hands of key decision-makers through the near real-time monitoring and reporting capabilities of hybrid, complex networks consisting of disparate systems, siloed software, multiple nodes, and various types of equipment.
Leonardo DRS has introduced an advanced and cost-effective Assured Position Navigation and Timing (A-PNT) solution to counter anti-Global Positioning System threats while improving the functionality of a range of combat-critical networking platforms. The Leonardo DRS AC2ES (A-PNT Converged Computing – Embedded and Scalable) provides A-PNT information in Global Positioning System-threatened environments by using a range of technologies. It is designed for integration in, or designed as an embedded solution, with advanced off-the-shelf systems that provide cost-effective and scalable A-PNT capability for all vehicle platforms currently using the lineup of Leonardo DRS hardware solutions.
The Stabilized Sight System (S3) is designed to meet the complex operational needs and challenges for a wide variety of ground combat vehicle platforms and battlefield scenarios. Using a variety of payload options, the S3 can be tailored to mission needs and provide crewmen rapid target acquisition response capabilities with extended range performance day, night and in adverse combat conditions.
Leonardo DRS went pink at AUSA 2021 in support of the Henry M. Jackson for the Advancement of Military Medicine's "Look Good, Feel Better" program, which assists those undergoing breast cancer treatment in the appearance-related side effects of the disease and treatment.
